What is Effective Communications ?
Communication is a process of conveying one’s words from one person to another. In this, your thoughts, feelings and facts are shared. Through communication we can contact two or more persons.
Effective Communication
Effective communication means the interaction of thoughts, feelings, information and values between two or more persons, it is also considered a systematic and continuous process of exchange of ideas. It helps us to talk openly about how our minds develop a shared understanding and build good relationships with others. The way we communicate with others and with ourselves ultimately determines the quality of our lives.
Effective communication is the best life skill. In effective communication process the sender sends his message to the receiver and the receiver, after understanding the message, gives his effective response to the sender. This process of communication is called effective communication. Here we will talk about 6 types of effective communication which are as follows.
6 Types Of Effective Communication
1- Verbal communication
Verbal communication means using sounds and words to express oneself. In verbal communication, there are two types of intrapersonal and interpersonal communication which are as follows:
1.1 Intrapersonal communication
Intrapersonal communication, it is a personal (individual) form of communication that remains confined to us. In this the person talks to himself. He does this because he wants to give direction to his work. This conversation is also called self-talk. In this he questions himself and reaches a conclusion.
1.2 Interpersonal communication
Interpersonal communication is that form of communication in which two or more persons interact face to face. In this, each other’s words are understood and ideas and information are exchanged.
2 Nonverbal communication
Nonverbal Communication – Conversation without words is called nonverbal communication. In this, we do not take the support of words for conversation, but convey our words to the person in front of us through gestures and other postures. He also understands our words and gives his response. Nonverbal communication is as follows which are given below.
2.1 Body language
To express oneself in body language, posture, facial expressions and tone of voice have to be communicated. Body language is a powerful tool for understanding and using nonverbal communication. This can help with your communication. Connect with others and let them know you care. If you want to be a good communicator then practice more at other’s non-verbal cues so that your non-verbal communication will be effective.
Non-verbal cues that are as follows:
(a) Body language
(b) Tone of voice
(c) Facial expressions
(d) Eye contact
(e) Intonation
2.2 Graphic communication
In graphic communication, hand drawn drawings, photos, slides etc. are used to connect ideas. Any medium that is used to communicate messages and ideas. that’s called graphical communication
2.3 Visual communication
In visual communication, visual material is used to communicate information, facts or ideas. Many types of visual content are presented in visual communication such as videos, GIFs, pie charts, screenshots, slides and infographics etc.
2.4 Musical communication
Through musical communication, we can share our feelings, thoughts and intentions through music. It is a good and powerful medium.
3. Electronic communication
In electronic communication, we use electronic things, such as mobile phone, WhatsApp, email, SMS, video, TV, video, social media platforms, etc. are used. Through this electronic communication, we can do both oral and written communication. Electronic communication is a fast communication process that allows the message to reach people instantly. This communication can be done at any time. It is more convenient than other communication.
4. Written Communication
Written communication is any type of written message. In this we use our words and thoughts in written form. This requires written language skills. This also increases our writing skills. Written communication should be clear and precise in conveying the message. Some popular forms of written communication are letter writing, reports, email and social networking sites.
5. Listening Communication
In listening communication, actively listening to the words of the person in front (listening) is also an accurate form of the process of communication. In this communication, by listening and understanding the messages accurately, the ability to respond is developed. The ability to effectively listen to messages and ideas is considered one of the most important skills. This also increases our listening skills. An active conversation here fosters the process.
6. Special Communication
स्पेशल कम्युनिकेशन दिव्यांग व्यक्तियों के लिए बनाया गया है । जिससे वह लोग अपनी बातों और विचारों को प्रकट कर सकते है जैसे ब्रेल लिपि, साइन लैंग्वेज (सांकेतिक भाषा) द्वारा अपनी बातों को सामने वाले व्यक्ति तक पहुंचा सकते हैं।
6.1 Braille – Special Communication
Braille script – Braille script also comes in special communication. In this, this special script has been made for visually impaired persons. In this, a special system of reading and writing has been developed for these persons. In which he can understand the letters of the alphabet based on the raised 6 points by touching them. It allows visually impaired persons to read, write and communicate without loss of vision.
6.2 Sign language – Special Communication
Sign language or sign language is a language that can be understood or explained by signs without relying on words. This sign language is for people who are unable to hear. This language is based on symbolic patterns in visual form to convey meaning. In which the speaker conducts his facial expressions, hand movements to effectively put his thoughts.
